Team Leadership

- Work as the financial controller to the CFO providing advice, strategy, consultation and direction on all Finance related issues affecting the company
- Monitor the financial reporting on the company level as well as the management reporting on the functional and cost center level, ensuring adequacy & consistency of results
- Responsible for targeting, planning and forecasting of operational and capital costs and providing guidance to CFO and Functional Leads on cost efficiency and areas for improvement
Managing the team of financial analysts
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare financial reviews in relation to all functions within company, including reviewing actual results variances with financial analysts and business unit leads, and challenging their assumptions and ensuring adherence to IFRS and company guidelines with regard to spending activity
- Review monthly financial results for the company and issue an in-depth Management Analysis for the Function Leads to focus management on the key operational areas, progression towards targets and areas of risk
- Manage all aspects of budgetary and financial control for the company, ensuring the provision of accurate information to facilitate dynamic strategy and decision-making
- Provide recommendations related to cost management and understanding the economies and operations of the various functions
- Prepare regular financial reporting deliverables according to the HO requirements and local ad hoc financial analysis when required
- Responsible for quarterly and annual forecasting, planning and reporting and reviewing data accuracy
- Oversee the Quarterly Forecasting / Re-casting processes to ensure that deliverables are prepared correctly and on time, results and issues are effectively communicated to CFO, and management approval is obtained; includes the preparation of a comprehensive business commentary
- Create analysis and scenarios to establish potential cost savings which are in sync with operational model
- Communicate global instructions from Headquarters to Function Leads and to Finance team with adaptations to timelines and clarification of all factors affecting the company
- Identify processing and methodological mistakes in actual results and send monthly correction lists to team members
- Regularly interact with headquarters regarding country operations impacts to global results and different metrics reporting
- Actively participate in audit reviews with internal and external contacts
- Focus on continuous improvement initiatives to identify and assess potential technological improvements and sharing of best practices across the team and other functions to streamline and simplify processes
